MOVEMENT & INNERYOGA
Aya Dunin’s approach to Yoga is informed by InnerYoga, the Hakomi Method (Mindfulness-based Somatic Psychotherapy), and Dharma of Trauma (Hakomi).
Aya’s yoga classes are therapeutic. She invites students to cultivate: Awareness. Kindness. Breath. Ease. Courage (the InnerYoga foundational principles). She provides tools to meet everyday challenges, and to cultivate intimacy with the self and the present moment. Her intention is to guide you home into your body temple, and develop a coherent nervous system. In her pursuit of awakening the Feminine she studied Yin Yoga with Dina Amsterdam in 2013. Aya completed her InnerYoga certification with founder Dina Amsterdam in 2014. She finalized her 500hrs RYT with Pete Guinoso in 2014 with Yoga Tree San Francisco (Advanced Teacher training). She has been studying Shakti Yoga® & Temple Tribal Fusion Dance® with Tenley Wallace since 2017. Recently she studied Pre/Post Natal yoga with Jane Austin in 2020. Aya has been dancing ballet since the age of 4 in London and Paris. She discovered Yoga and Contemporary Dance in her early twenties. And has been on a journey of decolonizing her body, thawing trauma, and rewilding. Aya Dunin started her journey with yoga in Paris, thanks to Louisa Raszyk (Dynamic Yoga), her first teacher twenty years ago. That is when she also met her Contemporary Dance teacher Nathalie Pubelier at the Studio Harmonic. Aya pursued her interest in dance and yoga in Tokyo, meeting the great Butoh masters Kazuo Ohno and his son. In San Francisco she studied at CCSF with Luana Modern Dance, Ballet with Dr Jeanne-Marie Hughes, and Yoga with Suvani (Gail Stepanek) between 2009 and 2012. Her first yoga teacher training took place at Yoga Tree San Francisco in 2012 with Darren Main & Chrisandra Fox. Aya currently lives in Costa Rica, on unceded Chorotega land, where she teaches children's Movement and Mindfulness at the Dandelion Wild School of Ostional. She facilitates classes, produces workshops and retreats in California, Costa Rica, and France. She teaches in English, French, and Spanish. CONTACT ayadunin@gmail.com WhatsApp +1 415 619 9837 |

TESTIMONIALS
"I had Aya teach Yin yoga at my healing retreat that I hosted and it was such a valuable addition to the space. I felt people were more open and available for meditation and it helped the group drop in together everyday in a very harmonious way. My experience with being in Aya's classes was deeply nourishing and relaxing, the way that She holds space takes on a level of care and nurturing what my body can really let go into. I love the way she integrates many modalities into her work for the most opening and healing to take place. I would highly suggest working with Aya to anyone looking to receive deep relaxing and revitalizing practices in a very safe clear container." Jessica B. (Integrative Therapeutic Mentor at Truth Aligned)
"Practicing yoga under Aya’s guidance has enhanced my practice to be Aya is a gifted yoga instructor. During multiple yoga sessions with her, I felt myself become more in tune with my alignment, centers of energy, and strength, and was able to build a higher degree of self compassion and self-determination in my practice. You have come to the right place if you are looking for an altruistic, attentive yoga teacher who can seamlessly draw from a variety of worldly healing practices (Yin, Vinyasa, and Chinese medicine) to create a memorable yoga experience. Thank you, Aya!" Nathalie KMN
"Aya's classes leave me feeling refreshed. She adjusts the yogi(ni)'s posture so that she/he gets the most from the practice. Her teachings during class can be related to throughout the rest of your day. Chris A. (Musician, Permaculturist)

“We do so much, we run so quickly, the situation is difficult, and many people say, "Don't just sit there, do something."
But doing more things may make the situation worse. So you should say, "Don't just do something, sit there."
Sit there, stop, be yourself first, and begin from there.” Thich Hhat Hanh
